COVID-19 Update

March 17, 2020

The H.R. MacMillan Space Centre temporarily closed to the public on March 18, 2020.  All programming was cancelled as a preventative measure to help slow the spread of COVID-19 through our community.

We are happy to say that we are busy getting ready for your return. We are currently working through the details of re-opening our galleries and theatres so you, your family, and friends can be healthy and safe. We fall into the Phase Three category of the BC Restart Plan as we have theatres in our spaces that will require additional attention - much like movie cinemas and symphony halls.  The theatres add a level of complexity to managing our spaces and have specific needs we must be able to address. We look forward to getting back to our regularly scheduled programming as soon as it is reasonable to do so.

In the meantime, we are excited to announce that we will be adding to our many virtual programs and online resources with a partial re-opening with outdoor programming on select dates from June to September. Details will be available on our website soon!

We look forward to welcoming you to the Centre this summer!
