🌟Have a stargazing astronomy buff in the family?
The annual Perseid meteor shower returns to the summer night sky this July and August and will be peaking around August 12th.
☄️Ever wonder what a meteor shower is, where meteors come from, or how to see them?
Join us for an inspiring evening that will answer those questions, and find out what you need to know to view the Perseid meteor shower. Our Astronomer Marley Leacock will lead an interactive presentation in our Planetarium Star Theatre about meteor showers, and how learning about them, and comets, may actually help us understand how life started on Earth.
Our observatory will be open after the presentation in the planetarium, however, the best place to view the meteor shower will be in dark park locations away from the city lights.
This event is recommended for ages 8+.
