Tickets and prices

Admission tickets are available online or at our front desk.ย  We do not require that you purchase tickets online. Ticket times are for the shows in the planetarium star theatre. Please arrive early to allow time for check-in.ย 

General admission shows and programs are recommended for ages 8+.

Tickets for the 9:45am and 3:45pm time slots are available in person. Weekday morning time slots are often dedicated to field trip programming for schools.

All ticket sales are final. Tickets cannot be transferred or rescheduled. Email [email protected] for more information.

Free Admission for Indigenous Peoples
The Space Centre offers free general admission to all self-identifying Indigenous Peoples. This offer is available in-person when you check in at the front desk upon arrival.

Location and directions

We are located in the beautiful seaside Vanier Park in Vancouver, British Columbia. A visit to the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre can be combined with a scenic walk along the seawall to enjoy views of the ocean, beaches, mountains, and downtown.

The H.R. MacMillan Space Centre is easily accessible by public transit. If you plan to drive, pay parking managed by Easy Park is available in front of the Space Centre building (Lot 60).ย

Directions:

There are many options for finding your way to the Space Centre in Vanier Park.ย 

Transit: The #2 and #32 buses stop within a convenient five minute walk of the Space Centre. The most common stops are along Burrard Street in Downtown, at the Burrard Station Skytrain, andย along MacDonald street in Kitsilano.ย

Driving: The Space Centre is a 5-minute drive from Downtown on the south end of the Burrard Bridge.

Walking: The Space Centre is aย 15 minute walk from Downtown,ย 10 minute walk from Granville Island, or 5 minute walk from Kitsilano Beach.

Cycling: The Space Centre is a 10 minute cycle from Downtown, a 5 minute cycle from Granville Island, or a 2-3 minute cycle from Kitsilano beach.

Parking:

Ample paid parking is available in front of the Space Centre building. Pay at the kiosk or use the ZipBy app (parking lot #60). Pay per hour, or daily 6:00am – 6:00pm, and evening 6:00pm-6:00am.
