Marsville is a complete cross-curricular program, which allows students from across Canada to work towards a common goal. Applying knowledge from variety of subject areas including: science, math, technology, communications, humanities, and social sciences, students plan a mission to Mars and create a settlement on the Red Planet. The project lasts approximately 8-12 weeks and culminates with ”Link-Up Day”, where students from different schools meeting to construct a mock Martian colony at the University of British Columbia in May. The best way to describe this Link-Up Day is a full sized ‘science fair in a bubble’, Activities include habitat construction, and the sharing of science.
Marsville runs in the classroom from January to April, with teacher in-service taking place in January 2012 at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre (teacher in-service is mandatory for first-time Marsville teachers).
Marsville will take place sometime in May 2012.

Register early – the program is limited to the first 20 classes. Deadline for registration: October 28th, 2011.
Cost $225 for first-time teachers (includes in-service, curriculum materials, etc.)
$100 for repeat teachers. Free for inner city schools.

PLEASE NOTE: The cost is $225 for a first-time Marsville class, $100 for repeat teachers, and $0.00 for Inner City classes. These fees include orientation and resource materials, supplies and support throughout the program.
