We will confirm your booking
Please note: Your booking is not confirmed until you have been issued a
confirmation/invoice. If you do not receive written confirmation of your booking
within two weeks of booking your visit please contact our office as soon as
possible! Once your booking has been confirmed and you have received a
confirmation/invoice and number, a $25 fee will apply to any cancellations or
changes regarding the time or date of your program. If any cancellations or
changes occur within 7 days of your program date, a fee of $50 will apply.

Overnight & Not-Quite-an-Overnight Programs

Not Quite an Overnight Adventure 
 
Not a night owl? Rather sleep in your own bed?  Not-Quite-An-Overnight may be the program for you.  During this three-hour visit, your group will have a hands-on workshop, their own show in the GroundStation Canada theatre, an orientation to the night sky in the Planetarium, and an opportunity to look through our ½ metre telescope (weather permitting).
 
Start time  6:00pm
Cost  $28 per child (1 adult per 4 children is admitted free) $14 per additional adult, + HST
Please note: A $40.00 maintenance fee (general room preparation and cleaning) applies in addition to attendee fees.
Group size  A minimum group size of 15 paid participants and a maximum of 75.
Deposit A non-refundable deposit of $150 is required upon booking.

Overnight Adventure

Ever wonder what the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre is like at night? Your group will have the Space Centre all to themselves!
 
Overnight guests will explore the Cosmic Courtyard, create their own bottle rockets, view the night sky through our ½ metre telescope (weather permitting), and end the night with a Planetarium presentation. In the morning, a light breakfast will be served, followed by launching of the bottle rockets. Programming is suited for ages 6-12, but is also popular with our teen guests.
 
Cost  $56 per child (1 adult per 4 children is admitted free) $28 per additional adult, + HST. 
Please note: A $80.00 maintenance fee (general room preparation, furniture set-up and take-down, and cleaning) applies in addition to attendee fees.
Group size  A minimum of 15 children @$56/child (not counting adults--free or paid);
and a maximum of 75 guests total (children and adults). 
Arrival time  Friday & Saturday: 9:00 pm / Sunday - Thursday: 8:00 pm  
Departure time  9:00 am 
Deposit  A non-refundable deposit of $250 is required upon booking.

FOOD ALERT Students will be provided with a snack of granola bars and juice in the evening, and a light breakfast of muffins and juice in the morning. Those with food allergies or specific dietary requirements should advise the Bookings Office upon confirmation of booking and provide their own food.
 
 
 
 
Rocket Science 101
 
If you would like to visit during the day, your experience will include a planetarium show, a presentation in our GroundStation Canada theatre, and a hands-on workshop, Rocket Construction.

Community Astronomy

The H.R. MacMillan Space Centre brings astronomy to you! Our staff will either present an illustrated talk about astronomy or a guided view of the night sky and give you the opportunity to look through one of our portable telescopes (viewing is weather dependent).

 
Cost       $200 for a 2 hour session, plus mileage; travel time & accommodation,
               if applicable, plus applicable taxes.
 
Payment Full payment is required at the time of booking your program. 
 
 
Cancellation Policy A fee of $25 will be applied to all booking changes/cancellations made with more than seven days notice.  A fee of $50 will be applied to all booking changes/cancellations made within seven days of the program date. The deposit will be withheld if the cancellation is made within 7 days of the program date.
